Plain English summary
1. Definitions
"Software" means the SnapScreens application, including all versions (SnapScreens Studio, SnapCover) and any future updates provided under your license tier.
"Licensor" means the creator and owner of SnapScreens.
"Licensee" or "you" means the individual who has purchased a valid license.
"License Key" means the unique key issued to you upon purchase that activates the Software.
"Third-Party AI Provider" means any external AI service you connect to the Software using your own API key (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or others).
2. Grant of License
Subject to payment of the applicable fee and compliance with this Agreement, the Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to install and use the Software on devices you personally own or control.
The license is tied to the individual purchaser. You may install the Software on up to 3 personal devices simultaneously (e.g. a work Mac, a personal Mac, a Windows PC). Sharing a license key with others is not permitted.
3. License Tiers
3.1 Monthly License
Valid for one calendar month from the date of activation. Automatically renews unless cancelled before the renewal date. Grants access to all Software features during the active period. Upon cancellation, the Software reverts to free-tier mode (Screenshot Studio only, no export).
3.2 Annual License
Valid for twelve months from the date of activation. Automatically renews annually unless cancelled. Includes priority support and early access to new features. Same usage rights as Monthly. Upon expiry without renewal, the Software reverts to free-tier mode.
3.3 Lifetime License
A one-time payment grants a perpetual license to the Software as it exists at the time of purchase, plus all future updates released during the active development period. The Lifetime license additionally includes:
- Commercial use: you may use SnapScreens to create deliverables (screenshots, ASO copy, cover assets) for client apps and bill clients for that work
- Agency and studio use: multiple team members within the same company may not share a single license; each user requires their own license
- All future major and minor version updates
- Lifetime priority support
4. What 'Commercial Use' Means
Monthly and Annual plans permit you to use the Software to create App Store materials for apps you own or are directly employed to work on. This covers freelancers creating assets for a single client under a direct employment or contractor relationship.
Lifetime plan additionally permits studios, agencies and consultancies to use the Software to produce deliverables for multiple client projects and charge clients for the work product. If you are an agency producing App Store assets as a service for external clients, a Lifetime license is required per seat.
All plans permit developers publishing their own apps (free, paid or monetized) without restriction.
5. Restrictions
✕You may not sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign or otherwise dispose of your license.
✕You may not redistribute, repackage or white-label the Software.
✕You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
✕You may not use the Software to create tools that compete directly with SnapScreens.
✕You may not share your License Key with third parties.
6. Third-Party AI Providers
The Software integrates with Third-Party AI Providers via API keys that you supply. By connecting a Third-Party AI Provider:
a) You agree to that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy.
b) All costs arising from API usage (token consumption, image generation, etc.) are billed directly by the provider to you. SnapScreens has no visibility into, and no liability for, those costs.
c) Content generated by Third-Party AI Providers using your prompts and app data is subject to the provider's output policies. SnapScreens makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, quality or suitability of AI-generated content.
d) You remain responsible for ensuring that AI-generated ASO copy and keywords comply with App Store and Google Play guidelines.
7. Templates, Assets and Content
Templates and graphic assets distributed with or downloadable through the Software are licensed to you for use within the Software to create App Store materials. You may not:
a) Redistribute the raw template files or asset packs.
b) Sell the template files themselves as standalone products.
c) Use the template assets outside of the SnapScreens workflow (e.g. in Figma, Photoshop or other design tools) without explicit written permission.
Screenshots and cover images you export from the Software using your own content are your property. The underlying template structure is not transferred to you.
8. Intellectual Property
The Software, including its source code, design, interface, documentation and all associated intellectual property, is and remains the exclusive property of the Licensor. This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
SnapScreens™ is a trademark of the Licensor. You may not use the SnapScreens name, logo or branding in any way that implies endorsement or affiliation without prior written consent.
App Store® is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. Google Play™ is a trademark of Google LLC. These trademarks are used for descriptive purposes only and do not imply affiliation.
9. Payments & Merchant of Record
All license purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, tax calculation and remittance, and license key delivery on our behalf.
SnapScreens does not receive or store your payment card details. We receive only your email address and name from Lemon Squeezy to provide license delivery and customer support.
By completing a purchase you agree to Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
10. Privacy and Data
The Software operates entirely on your local device. The Licensor does not collect, store or process your projects, screenshots, ASO copy, keywords or any content you create within the Software.
License key validation may require a one-time internet connection at activation. No personal usage data is transmitted to the Licensor's servers. See the full Privacy Policy at snapscreens.com/privacy.
11. Updates and Continuity
Monthly and Annual licensees receive Software updates for the duration of their active subscription. Updates may add or modify features.
Lifetime licensees receive all updates released during the active commercial development period. The Licensor reserves the right to discontinue active development at any time with 12 months' notice to Lifetime licensees, after which the Software remains functional but no further updates are provided.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THE LICENSOR MAKES NO WARRANTIES REGARDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
13. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE LICENSOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE LICENSE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
14. Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated. Your license terminates automatically if you breach any term. Upon termination, you must cease use of the Software and delete all copies. The Licensor reserves the right to revoke a license key if fraudulent purchase, key sharing or other violations are detected, without refund.
15. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable laws of the member state where the Licensor is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Changes to This Agreement
The Licensor may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address associated with your purchase, or via in-app notification. Continued use of the Software after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
